BTS is TIME's Next Generation Leader

15 Oct – TIME Magazine has recently dubbed BTS the "Next Generation Leaders", according to Korea Herald.

The group, which has been enjoying an unprecedented level of popularity for the past year, recently made it to the magazine's cover. They were described as "young trailblazers who are reshaping music", who are able to connect with fans across the globe through their music without needing to sing in English.

On their global success, BTS told TIME that they started to tell the stories that people wanted to hear and were ready to hear.

Other NGL that made into the list include comedian Hasan Minhaj, Argentinian women's rights activist Sabrina Cartabia, marine conservation biologist Christine Figgener, Saudi storyteller Fatima al Banawi, footballer Kylian Mbappe, and actress Amadla Stenberg.

Prior to the release of the TIME's cover, the seven-member group won Favourite Social Artist at the 2018 American Music Awards. The group also appeared at the United Nations back in September as part of a collaboration with UNICEF.
