“Hasta el Fin del Mundo” (“Together Till the End”), a working title, is described as a compelling drama where a man’s destiny takes an unexpected turn when a woman from his past resurfaces after 15 years.

It’s also the first time Derbez is paired with actor Mauricio Ochmann (“Marina,” “El Senor de los cielos”) who plays Manuel, a successful businessman about to marry the love of his life. However, a sudden phone call changes everything, leading Manuel to rekindle a connection with Esmeralda, played by Derbez, a woman who left a lasting impact on him many years ago.

Principal photography is slated for the first quarter of 2024 in the Spanish capital of Madrid and the Canary Islands where generous tax breaks have lured a slew of film and TV productions.

Founded by producer, screenwriter and director Frank Ariza, AF Films has, for the past nine years, produced a number of films and series for the Latin American market, among them “Sin ti no puedo,” “Uno para morir,” “Ay mi madre” and “Canta y no llores.”

Ais Ais Baby has co-produced “On a Trip with the Derbez,” a Prime Video reality show led by her father Eugenio Derbez, Mexico’s most prominent producer, actor and director, who next appears in “Radical.”

Founded in 2010, BTF Media, led by Mexican entrepreneurs and producers Francisco E. Cordero and Ricardo Coeto, has produced hit television series such as “Maradona: Blessed Dream” for Prime Video, “Papas por encargo” (“Daddies on Request”) for Disney+ and “La muchacha que limpia” for HBO Max, among others.

With offices in the U.S., Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Spain, the company recently announced the premiere of “Pancho Villa: El Centauro del Norte,” for Star+ and “Te Quiero y me duele” for HBO Max.

BTF Media also won a Spanish Academy Goya Award for its drama “Sintiéndolo Mucho.”
