Brothers Mackenyu Arata and Gordon Maeda announce marriages

25 Jan – Mackenyu Arata and brother Gordon Maeda surprised many recently by announcing that they have both married non-celebrities.

As reported on Nikkan Sports, Mackenyu recently released a statement announcing the marriage, which read, "From now on, I would like to spend precious time together while supporting each other. And I will continue to devote myself even more so that I can present dreams and excitement to more people."

"I would appreciate it if you could watch over me," he added.

On the other hand, Gordon wrote, "I'm sorry to trouble you with my personal affairs, but at this time, I, Maeda Gordon, would like to announce that I have gotten married. It's been about four years since I started working as an actor, and I'm still an inexperienced person who still has a lot to learn, but I will continue to devote myself to it."

Both announcements were released on 22 January, which was supposed to be their late father Sonny Chiba's 84th birthday. The veteran actor passed away in August 2021.
