Britney Spears Just Gave Us a First Look at Her Christmas Tree... in October
While we obviously love decorating for Christmas, we are not ones to skip putting up festive decor for Halloween and Thanksgiving, but Britney Spears is obviously not part of the House Beautiful team. Over the weekend, Spears posted one of her famous dancing videos with the same backdrop of her relatively empty living room, but this time there was a tall, lit up Christmas tree dead center in the space.
Now, we adore a good Christmas tree—real or artificial—but even we think it's a bit early to have already decorated for the holiday since it is quite literally still October. In the video, Spears is dancing in a purple lingerie set, yet what catches our eye the most is the giant decoration. Spears has a history of going big for the holiday, posting a photo of her Rockefeller-esque tree to Twitter in November of 2017, so it really shouldn't be too surprising that she's starting the celebration early.
People on X, formerly known as Twitter, unsurprisingly have something to say about it. Some commenters are responding negatively—posting that the pop star "still" has her tree up from last year—and taking unoriginal approach of insinuating that Spears is unhinged. But as avid watchers of Spears's Instagram, we know that just last week her living room was void of a Christmas tree. However, in a positive turn of events, most comments are from people praising the star or writing that seeing her with her tree already up makes them happy.
As always, we're just happy that Britney is seemingly happy, and if that means she's skipping all other holidays and decorating for Christmas, then so be it! However, we simply can't help but hope the star puts up some other decorations too for a more festive space. We have many Christmas decor suggestions if she needs them!
