Bowie Wu addresses Patrick Tse slap controversy

17 Jul – Veteran actor Bowie Wu recently addressed Patrick Tse's claims that the infamous slap he gave Kenneth Tsang three years ago was nothing more than just a publicity stunt.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor originally dismissed the issue when brought up by the media, saying that reporters "love to bring up old issues".

But when mentioned that it was Patrick who admitted to it in a previous interview, Bowie responded, "I have no idea. [Patrick] usually likes to talk big to everybody, especially women. But he is honest towards me."

When mentioned that Patrick also complimented Bowie's good acting when he threw his spectacles during the argument, Bowie responded, "My acting skills is definitely better than him."

Back in 2015, Patrick made headlines when he slapped fellow "Four Amigos Bon Voyage" cast member Kenneth Tsang on the face after the press conference of the said show, saying that he was unhappy with the latter's behaviour throughout the shoot.

Although many speculated that the slap was staged, TVB denied that it was a publicity stunt.

However, in an interview published earlier this month, Patrick admitted that it was all staged. He stated that they originally wanted Bowie to do the deed, but worried that it won't be believable.
