This Bonkers Collection of Barely Driven Supercars Is Heading to Auction—and It Includes 17 Ferraris
It’s one thing to buy a car you’ve been eyeing for decades; it’s another to buy it in practically brand-new condition.
Collectors will be able to do just that when RM Sotheby’s auctions off the “Factory Fresh Collection” next month in London. The assortment of 20 vehicles includes some of the rarest rides of the last 30 years, almost all of which have barely been driven.

The stunning collection was compiled by an unnamed Singapore-based enthusiast who also served as the region’s official Ferrari importer, according to the auction house. Their relationship with the Italian marque appears to have been strong, as 17 of the vehicles set for sale are Prancing Horses. Their role as an importer may also explain why so many of the cars only have delivery mileage on the odometer.
Usurpingly, the auction’s headliner is a Ferrari, specifically a 1994 512 TR Spider. It’s one of just three examples that left the factory that year and is the only one finished in Blu Cobalto. The open-top speed machine is powered by a numbers-matching 5.0-liter flat-12 and was displayed as part of the sports car maker’s 70th anniversary celebrations in 1997. Take all that into consideration, and it’s little wonder the car is expected to sell for between $2.6 million and $3.3 million. Other Ferraris of note include a 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS by Scaglietti with its original engine (expected to sell for between $430,000 and $550,000), a rare right-hand-drive 2001 Barchetta Pininfarina ($345,000 to $430,000), and a 1990 Testarossa ($185,000 to $245,000) that has only covered 100 miles.
Not all the cars on offer are Italian-made, though. There are also three gorgeous lots that hail from the U.K. The most impressive entry of the trio is a stately black-over-black 1991 Bentley Turbo R Drophead Coupé by Pininfarina ($460,000 to $600,000). The gorgeous convertible is believed to be one of just two examples that were built. If your tastes run sportier, there’s also a barely touched 1993 Jaguar XJ220 ($460,000 to $500,000) with only 46 miles on the odometer and an exquisite 1969 E-Type Series 2 ($185,000 to $220,000) roadster with a 4.2-liter straight-six and manual gearbox.
