Victoria Beckham warned Eva Longoria about Singapore’s hot weather

Before making her first-ever trip to Singapore, former “Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria called her pal Victoria Beckham for the low-down on the island-nation.

The former Posh Spice who had just been in Singapore earlier this month told Longoria about the country’s hot weather and how it would cause the actress’ hair to frizz.

In town to support her long-time friend and president of Italian jeweller Damiani, Guido Grassi Damiani, for his second store opening at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands on Wednesday, Longoria seemed to have prepared well enough for the humidity as she looked sleek and stylish – her hair perfectly in place – during the press briefing for the event.

Clad in a body hugging black dress so tight she had to stand up at certain points of the press conference, Longoria shared how “magical” it was to be at the famed Gardens by the Bay, where she went for a run at 6am.

The gorgeous 39-year-old, who is now producer and director of television series “Devious Housemaids”, added that she would have run with Beckham if the latter had been there, too, and would have agreed with her about the weather.

The avid traveler, who claimed that she loves airports, also seemed surprised at how “big” the Changi Airport is.

The Mexican philanthropist, who is also the founder of Eva Longoria Foundation and Eva’s Heroes, shared that “there are a lot of good shops” at the Marina Bay Sands, and hoped to “go shopping” after the press conference.

Diamonds are Longoria’s best friends

When asked about the benefits of being friends with Damiani, Longoria gave one word – “Diamonds”.

“Diamonds really are a girl’s bestfriend,” she said.

The founder of political group Latino Victory Project came glittering with a diamond encrusted watch and earrings that featured her birthstone aquamarine.

Another reason why she supported the Italian jeweller is that the company also gives back to the community, she explained.

Damiani contributed and helped to promote a fund raising activity in support for victims of the Emilia earthquake that happened in Italy in 2012.
