After a two-year hiatus from directorial projects, film maker Jack Neo returns to the big screen with his new movie "We not naughty".

Not to be confused with the highly popular "I not stupid" in 2002, his latest movie stars actors Joshua Ang, Shawn Lee and Xiang Yun.

Speaking to Yahoo! Singapore, Lee said, "It is great to work with them again. The relationship and bond have always been there and things don't have to be spell out loud to be understood on set."

Lending some star power to this movie include popular Hong Kong singer Daniel Chan (who plays the role of a teacher) and Taiwanese actress Cherry Hsia.

"We not naughty" looks at the problems faced by parents in today's context with their children. The movie examines a wide spectrum of issues which parents have to grapple with.

There is some educational value as it exemplifies the magnitude and harmfulness that social media can bring about. There is also the rather predictable scene about the downsides of gambling at casinos.

The movie was screened at Shaw Orchard as part of a charity gala for Fly Entertainment's adopted charity, the Singapore Hospice Council (SHC).

Through this collaboration, Fly Entertainment's founder and chief executive officer Irene Ang aims to change the public's misconception of hospices.

"This can be done through outreach programs and getting the artistes involved to spread the word," she said.

Pamelyn Chee, who was last seen on Channel 8's A Song to Remember, told Yahoo! Singapore that the movie screening is an interesting tie-up to raise funds for SHC.

Besides this, she hopes that she can be directly involved by being there to offer her help at the hospice during her free time.
