Local actress Joanne Peh has dispelled pregnancy rumours, which have been spreading after netizens noticed the 30-year-old frequently wearing loose-fitting clothing recently.

She was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the President’s Star Charity (PSC) press conference on Wednesday.

“The Little Nyonya” actress said that it just happened that the clothes she wore recently were looser, adding that she would not be bogged down by the speculations and would continue dressing according to her preferences.

While she is not pregnant now, Peh revealed that she would want to have children in the future.

So is marriage on the cards for her and boyfriend Qi Yuwu?

The actress said “it’s a matter of time”, but she wouldn’t set a target age and preferred to just “let nature take its course”.

In fact, both of them are currently busy filming and jetting around, and they have not been able to spend much time together.

But their relationship is going strong despite the time apart and rumours surrounding Qi and “The Dream Makers” co-star Jeanette Aw.

Peh said she didn’t mind the good chemistry between Qi and Aw in the drama and she actually, she's proud of her boyfriend for being able to work well with other actors and actresses.

Peh will also be hosting the PSC for the first time on 20 October, which will be telecast ‘live’ on Channel 5 at 7:30pm.

She will be joined by presenter Soo Kui Jien and Adelyn Koh, a visually-impaired teen who is a beneficiary of the PSC.

Evergreen English singer-songwriter Rick Astley, who is known for his 1987 hit, “Never Gonna Give You Up”, will headline this year’s show.

The extravaganza will also feature local artistes such as Gurmit Singh, Belinda Lee, Farisha Ishak (the winner of reality singing competition The Final-1) and young Filipino singer Miguel Antonio.

The show will also cast a spotlight on ex-national shooter Aishah Samad and Navy regular serviceman Jason Chee, who were both struck by personal catastrophe.

The latter lost both legs, his left arm and three right fingers in a horrific ship accident while Aishah was forced to amputate all her limbs after contracting a near-fatal bacterial infection.

This year’s PSC is themed “It’s the little things” -- Singaporeans are encouraged to get involved and do their part in helping the less fortunate.

"Food aid is reaching Gaza... but there is no gas or electricity.
