BLACKPINK's Lisa sparks mixed reactions with latest 'ALTER EGO' persona reveal
14 Feb - BLACKPINK's Lisa has unveiled Vixi, the fifth and final persona for her upcoming debut solo album "ALTER EGO," generating divided responses from fans and critics alike.
The reveal, which took place on 11 February, introduces Vixi as a darker, edgier character representing Lisa's "villain" side, characterised by the colours black and red and the star sign Scorpio.
The Thai superstar has been strategically introducing different personas leading up to her album release, with Vixi joining the previously revealed Roxi, Sunni, Kiki, and Speedi. While some fans are excited about this darker concept, others have found the character descriptions somewhat cliched, particularly on social media platforms where discussions have been heated.
"ALTER EGO," set to release on 28 February, will feature 12 tracks and boasts collaborations with international artists including Rosalia, Doja Cat, and Raye. The album is supported by four singles: "Rockstar," "New Woman," "Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me)," and "Born Again."
Beyond her musical endeavours, Lisa is making her acting debut role in "The White Lotus" season 3, premiering 16 February on HBO.
