Black Mirror fans all want this one season 6 episode to be made into its own show

Season six of Black Mirror dropped last week, and it's safe to say that fans went wild over the new additions added to Netflix. For some context, the Charlie Brooker-created sci-fi anthology series has been going since 2011, and every series has never disappointed. From Miley Cyrus' AI Ashley O doll to the Hang The DJ dating app episode, the latest offerings have obviously been a huge hit with viewers, too. Especially the first one - Joan Is Awful.

For those who haven't watched it yet, the hour-long special stars Schitt's Creek's Annie Murphy and the icon that is Salma Hayek.

According to IMDb, the official synopsis reads: "An average woman is stunned to discover a global streaming platform has launched a prestige TV drama adaptation of her life - in which she is portrayed by Hollywood A-lister Salma Hayek."

After binging the episode as soon as it dropped, plenty of fans flooded Twitter to share their reactions with each other. And by the looks of things, the majority seem to be on the same wavelength about one thing - that Joan Is Awful *needs* its own show.

Taking to the social media platform, one fan typed: "Joan is Awful could've been its own show," as a second agreed, tagging Netflix in their post for maximum effect.

"@netflix Make Joan is Awful its own show #JoanIsAwful #BlackMirror," they said.

Others were quick to jump on the bandwagon and call for a standalone series away from Black Mirror, too. All while praising both the lead actors for their performances and revealing that they were the unlikely duo they didn't know they needed.

"Annie Murphy and Salma Hayek: the comedic duo I never knew I needed. Ten more seasons of Joan is Awful, please!" one fan gushed as another agreed, writing: "The duo I didn’t know I needed #anniemurphy #SalmaHayek."

Tbh, we'd be so down for nine more Joan Is Awful eps. Netflix, what you saying?
