House of Birkenstock on Duxton Road
And for Birkenstock fans, you'll be delighted to know that Birkenstock is marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter with the opening of its highly anticipated House of Birkenstock in Singapore this November. As the first store of its kind in Southeast Asia, the footwear collections known for craftsmanship and quality will now be available in the vibrant Duxton neighbourhood.
This store is unlike any other, incorporating local design elements into its architecture to create a unique Birkenstock identity here in Singapore. These include the crafting of a traditional Chinese wooden signboard at the store’s entrance, the use of handmade paper lanterns and the installation of vintage tiles. The store will also house a contemporary Peranakan water feature that is often seen in the air wells of Peranakan homes, with a 6-metre-high Birkenstock feature wall adorned with mini waterfalls and plants.
