The best Spring/Summer 2019 eyewear and sunglasses trends
There’s nothing quite like a pair of sunglasses to amp up your attire, giving you that sartorial look; cue designer Karl Lagerfeld and editor Anna Wintour with their signature sunglasses. But you don’t have to hide your beautiful peepers behind a boring black pair when, there are so many new styles out there to begin with. While in 2018 we see a lot of slim trends, 2019 will be bolder with bigger frames and embellishments.

Thick-framed ala grandmother’s glasses
BOSS 1058/S sunglasses feature their vintage full acetate frames with metal rivets and subtle engravings. This brown havana with gradient brown lenses is perfect for a ride out in a convertible with the top down, we reckon.
The iconic double question mark of Moschino’s is turned into a metal trim to embellish the temples of these acetate sunglasses.

Fendi is going all out with their micro cat-eye lenses: using light materials and eye-catching geometries for their design, their FF 0370/s sunglasses feature the brow-bar in Optyl, an extra-light plastic material with extraordinary colour effects–combined with metal, enhanced by bicolour polka dots.
This slim Max Mara cat-eye shape in acetate flaunts an up-to-date interpretation of a 1990s-inspired design translated with a contemporary touch.
The morning-stroll-visor-look
Take cue from aunties and ahmas who busy run morning errands at the market – but this time, elevate your style with diamantes and embellishments.
Jimmy Choo’s Siryn features an oversized mask design decorated with sparkling Swarovski crystal detail above the upper part of the frame giving the frame a daring fashion look.
Marc Jacobs’ sunglasses is presented in rubber, marked with its sporty logo vibes, giving it a new cool 90s retro feel this season.

Fashion bold colours
Fashion is fun, when you have one stand-out colour to be the focal point.
Kate Spade’s soft rectangular-shaped sunglass in acetate are offered with two-tone, milky to transparent, color blocking on the front and a dedicated temple. Two metal rivet details adorn the frame front with a signature metal spade logo on left temple. Available in pink/burgundy shaded, brown shaded/brownshade and black/green.
Polaroid’s PLD 6066/s sunglasses feature an oval metal shape with colour-coordinating temple tips matched to the lenses, available in silver/lilac with pink mirror lenses, gold/blue with platinum lenses, gold/orange with copper lenses, silver/black with grey polarized lenses.
