Katy Perry has confirmed she’s pregnant and expecting her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom.
The 35-year-old singer announced the happy news in true celebrity style.
Initially Perry sparked pregnancy rumours when she debuted the music video for her new song, ‘Never Worn White’, in which she appeared cradling a bump.
And after a flurry of speculation from fans on social media, the star confirmed the news in an Instagram Live.
“There’s a lot that’s happening this summer. Not only will I be giving birth, literally, and figuratively… to something you guys have been waiting for,” she told fans.
“I’m excited, we’re excited, and happy. It’s probably the longest secret I’ve ever had to keep. I thought I would tell you guys in the best way through a piece of music.”
The singer, who became engaged to ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star Bloom last year, also tweeted her relief that she no longer has to hide her pregnancy.

She went on to add: “We have been trying to keep this pregnancy under the radar for as long as possible but I’m a poppin now!
