Benjamin Yuen says Bowie Cheung made the first move
4 Jan – Although he is much older than girlfriend Bowie Cheung, Benjamin Yuen recently insisted it was the latter who made the first move that led to their relationship.
As reported on On CC, in an interview with radio host Terry Leung recently, Benjamin, who met Bowie through their variety show, "All Work No Pay Holiday", stated that it was something the beauty queen said that started the whole thing.
"I have told her before that I believe she was the one that hit on me first. She made a comment, "Your lifestyle is quite like a foreigner", and it had me guessing that she was interested to know me more," he said.
The actor stated that the two of them began to grow closer while filming in Africa, as they would often communicate with each other while they were riding in their vehicle.
When asked why his previous relationship failed but not this one, Benjamin admitted that he didn't cherish his girlfriend enough back then.
"I also didn't like being managed. If even my mother couldn't manage me, how could others?" he said.
However, with Bowie, Benjamin admitted that the actress did not constrain him at all, which enabled them to become much closer.
He also expressed gratitude to Bowie, who was there for him when his father passed away.
"I believe I have found [my significant other]. A lot of people have been asking me when I will get married. No need to worry. When the right time comes, I will announce it," he said.
