Benjamin Yuen happy to shock people with his appearance on "The Defected"
14 Apr – Receiving praise for losing a hefty amount of weight for his series, "The Defected", Benjamin Yuen admitted that it was the most challenging thing he has ever done for a drama.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who spoke about his apparent weight loss, stated that he lost nearly 10kg pounds in a short time for his role in the drama as a cop with PTSD, which put his weight on the show at 63 kg.
"It was really tough at the time. In the last two days of filming, I just drank coffee and eat a small portion. But looking at my eyes and my face in the mirror, I felt so excited when I realised that I had achieved the desired effect," he said.
Benjamin said that it was a pity that he didn't have much time, otherwise he would have been able to create a more shocking look for his character.
However, the actor should still celebrate the success, as his performance in the drama was widely praised. In a previous interview, his co-star Kara Hui stated that Benjamin has the potential to be the star of his generation.
