Ben Yuen won't get overconfident about his HKFA chances

3 Apr – Although he previously won Best Supporting Actor at the Golden Horse Awards, Ben Yuen stated that he won't get overconfident with his chance at the upcoming Hong Kong Film Awards.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who is nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for his performance in "Tracey", stated that all of the contenders for this year's awards are strong in their own way.

Asked if he considered Poon Chan Leung ("Men on the Dragon") to be his biggest competitor, Ben said, "He has a big chance to win. In fact, each and every one of the finalists deserves the award. It would be great if the five of us could win one each."

When mentioned that he has already won in Taipei earlier, Ben said that every award show is different.

"The system, culture, and preferences are not similar to one another. I prefer to just go with the flow," he said.

Other nominees include Sam Lee ("Still Human") and Liu Kai Chi ("Project Gutenberg").
