Ben Ng hospitalised for aortic dissection
3 Mar - Former ATV actor Ben Ng was revealed to be in a hospital suffering from aortic dissection.
As reported on On CC, the actor's wife Joan Tong disclosed to the media that although Ben is getting better, they have yet to be informed whether or not he will be discharged from the hospital soon.
When asked how they found out about the condition, Joan stated that Ben went to see a doctor after having chest and back pains.
"The doctor told him that he's got a vascular problem, but there is no need for surgery at this point. If he does, it will be a major one," she said.
Joan added that Ben is currently taking medication to control his blood pressure.
Aortic dissection is a condition in which there is a tear in the wall of the major artery carrying blood out of the heart.
