Bebe Rexha is sharing the symptoms of her ongoing struggle with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which caused her to have her period for most of February due to a flare-up.

After mentioning that she had PCOS during a mukbang — a video shot while eating — multiple fans commented that they also struggled with the disorder.

“I could not believe how many women have PCOS,” the singer, 30, said in a TikTok Thursday, where she addressed the multiple comments — specifically ones about her symptoms — and shared her own experience.

“First symptom: iregular periods,” she said. “February was 28 days, I had my period for 20 days. I had 10 days on my period, a week off, and then another 10 days."

“Some months, I won't get my period. Super, super irregular,” the "I'm Good (Blue)" singer said.

The Mayo Clinic explains that PCOS is a hormonal disturbance, where “many small sacs of fluid develop along the outer edge of the ovary … The small fluid-filled cysts contain immature eggs. These are called follicles. The follicles fail to regularly release eggs.”

Type 2 diabetes and heart disease may be a long-term complication of the disorder, the Mayo Clinic adds, and irregular periods and excess body hair can also be symptoms of the condition.

And as the Cleveland Clinic adds, weight gain is a concern due to the insulin resistance that some with PCOS develop — which is what happened for Rexha.

The "Chase It (Mmm Da Da Da)" singer shared that she takes metformin, a diabetes medication that helps lower blood sugar levels, saying it’s the “only thing that's really gotten me back on, like, kind of track.”

She also spoke about her struggle with her weight, which she said was a challenge due to the PCOS.

“I gained a lot of weight in like four years. Like, a lot,” said Rexha, who has been public about her fluctuating weight. She shared that she was weighing her food, exercising to burn up to 700 calories per workout, and restricting her calories to 1400 a day in an effort to lose weight.

“My doctor was like, ‘Do you think that's sustainable to be eating 1400 calories and burning 700?’ and I was like, ‘No.’ “

As the Cleveland Clinic says, an active 30-year-old woman needs up to 2400 calories a day.

She continued: “My doctor once told me that a woman with PCOS can eat a bowl of blueberries and it would be an equivalent to like a normal person eating a whole pie of pizza.”

Although she shared that the medication has helped her periods get back on track, she said that she still struggles with painful cysts — and ended up in urgent care two weeks ago from “a cyst that had burst.”

“I was in so much pain, my doctor thought it was appendicitis,” she said. “It was so bad.”

“Tylenol didn't work, Advil didn't work. You guys, I was sick to my stomach. The pain was so bad. The only thing that helped me — and I think you should try this if you have cysts — is a heating pad.”

Rexha shared that she’ll also get breakouts from PCOS or “get super-bloated,” and said that she’s happy to make more videos to share her experience with the disorder.

“I’m not a doctor, but I can give you the knowledge that I know,” she said, “because I know PCOS is really hard and it just sucks and I have a lot of really cool facts.”
