Bea Alonzo joins Ricky Lee's latest scriptwriting workshop

10 Jul – Bea Alonzo was the latest actress to join renowned scriptwriter Ricky Lee's most recent workshop.

As reported on ABS-CBN, Lee, who shared photos from Batch 22 Film of his Scriptwriting Workshop, shared that he first talked to Alonzo's handler about the actress' interest in writing her own movie.

"Then she and her handler met me for lunch, and pitched me her storyline. I was impressed. She really had a clear grasp of characterisation and had a fine sense of details. So she became a part of the workshop," he said.

Aside from Alonzo, other familiar faces who attended the workshop include director Jay Altarejos, director Sheron Dayoc, actor Nestor Abrogena, and Singaporean filmmaker Bradley Liew.

Among celebrities who have written their own movies after attending Lee's workshop include Bela Padilla, who wrote the 2017 Toni Gonzaga-starrer "Last Night", and Xian Lim, who recently finished filming his directorial debut, "Tabon".
