Baseball Drama From Dan Fogelman & Rick Singer Set At Fox As Put Pilot

The Neighbors and Galavant creator Dan Fogelman has teamed with veteran comedy writer Rick Singer (American Dad!) for a drama project, which has landed at Fox with a put pilot commitment. It hails from 20th Century Fox TV, where Fogelman is under an overall deal. Based on an idea by Singer, the untitled project follows a young female pitcher who defies the odds to become the first woman to compete in professional baseball. man. The two executive produce with Tony Bill and Helen Bartlett.

In his first development cycle under the rich four-year overall deal he signed with 20th TV in June, Fogelman already landed a pilot order at NBC for another hourlong project, a dramedy spec he wrote, with John Requa & Glenn Ficarra (Focus) set to direct.

Singer, who is a producer on TV Land’s comedy series Younger, is repped by ICM Partners, Principato Young and Morris Yorn. Fogelman is with WME, Management 360 and Hansen Jacobsen.
