Barbie Hsu terminates pregnancy after no heartbeat
9 May – Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu has recently terminated her pregnancy following advice from her doctors.
As reported on Epoch Times, the news was confirmed by her studio on 7 May, saying that the couple was told by their doctor that the baby's heartbeat has stopped, and that it needs to be aborted.
The studio added that in a previous check-up, the couple was told that the baby was having developmental problems.
"Barbie and Wang Xiaofei prayed day and night during this period, hoping for a miracle. Unfortunately, during the recent check-up, the doctors said that they could not detect the embryo's heartbeat. After much discussion, they decided to accept the professional advice and terminated the pregnancy," the company added.
They also assured that Barbie is currently resting under the care of her family following the procedure. It also added that Barbie thankful for the blessings from her fans, and that although her child's life was very short, she has learned a lot from it.
It was noted that Barbie was previously hesitant to share about her third pregnancy, saying that the pregnancy came in a very unlikely situation.
The actress is already a mother to two children - daughter Hsi-lin and son Hsi-yueh.
