Barbie Hsu responds to allegations made by ex

25 Nov – Barbie Hsu has recently released another statement in response to allegations that had been thrown against her by ex-husband Wang Xiaofei and his mother Zhang Lan.

In a statement released on her social media on 23 November, the Taiwanese actress shared her response in six points including denying allegations that she and sister Dee Hsu were abusing sleeping pills.

"My sister and I cannot take drugs; because my heart condition is bad and my sister works an average of four days a week, and lives with her parents-in-law and children, so there is no way for her to do such a thing. I myself am not interested in drug use, Taiwan does not allow drugs, and we are very law-abiding," she wrote.

She also denied trying to block Wang from seeing their children, saying that she originally proposed for Wang to have the custody of their two kids while she has the visitation rights instead.

"But he refused on the spot, saying that he would need three years. Then an agreement was reached for me to take care of the kids first," she said, adding that the previous issue with the pandemic made it hard for both parties to arrange visitations.

As for allegations that she cheated on Wang or that Wang cheated on her while they were married, Barbie responded, "The marriage between the two of us was not going well, so I voluntarily quit without any complaints. I still wish him well."

She also stated that she is just too weak and too lazy to cheat, as maintaining a ten-year marriage itself is hard work.
