Barbara Palvin Shares Her Beauty and Wellness Rituals, Including One She Does With Dylan Sprouse (Exclusive)

The supermodel talks her "comfort first" approach to hair (and spills the Bumble and bumble products she swears by) as well as fashion when she's off the clock

The couple that sweats together, stays together.

Barbara Palvin shared the wellness step she and Dylan Sprouse — her longtime love who she married in Hungary in July — do "every day" after he works out while chatting about her partnership with Bumble and bumble (a longtime fan of the haircare brand, she collaborated with it on her wedding look).

"We like to [go] in the sauna together," the model, 30, tells PEOPLE of the post-workout ritual she does with Sprouse, 31. "We have a good outdoor sauna that we usually sit in every day for 15 minutes."

Palvin notes that while Sprouse works out every day, her routine is a little less frequent. "I'm trying to do better and do that with him, but I'm a little lazy," she says.

Meanwhile, Palvin's schedule is jam-packed — she's just coming up for air after attending the Venice Film Festival in September and wrapping Paris Fashion Week (where she rocked a ton of gorgeous hairdos like this one courtesy of her hairstylist Owen Gould using Bumble and bumble) in October — so when she does find the time to hit the gym, she strives for a full-body routine. "Anytime I work out, I move every body part," she says.

For someone who started modeling at age 13, Palvin knows what it's like to spend hours in the glam chair and strut impressive distances in high heels. In contrast to her job demands, her current off-duty beauty and fashion philosophy is: "comfort first."

When she approaches a hairdo nowadays, she says, "first I get the outfit and then I brainstorm with my team."

She notes that right now she's loving the ease of the "'90s supermodel vibe." But, location also inspires Palvin's styles.

"If I'm in Paris, I might want to do something more relaxed and laid back and classy. In New York, I might want to do something more out there."

Part of Palvin's less-is-more approach comes from a very relatable realization: she's just okay at doing her own hair. "I wish I was better at doing it, I'm just too lazy," she says.

Instead of stressing, she reaches for products from Bumble and bumble that make her life easier. It's a brand she's loved since she started modeling. "I would do shows and backstage it would always be there, and, always smell the best!"

She first fell in love with its iconic Surf Spray. Nowadays, "I use Thickening Dryspun Texture Spray, which just gives me a good volume so it looks like I have that '90s blowout," Palvin says, joking, "That's the easiest [style] for me to do. Otherwise, I'm not that great."

When she's on-duty, she partners with hairstylist Gould, who "always uses Bumble and bumble," when they collaborate, she says.

The pro created her wedding day hairstyle using the Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil. Now, it's one of Palvin's go-to products. "It makes my hair very soft and shiny," she explains.

Her approach to off-duty dressing aligns: "I like something that's sexy, but still on the classy side," she says. "If I feel comfortable then I feel confident and I think that's the most important."

That doesn't mean she won't experiment. "Lately I feel like I've been trying different things," says Palvin — who adds that doesn't think she's "ever had a very specific style," but is "slowly finding it" now. "I was always more of a tomboy. That's why I like casual, baggy pants, tank top and big blazers. They were always my go-to."

Her recent travel to Italy for Milan Fashion Week, however, was a sudden style turning point for the model, specifically referencing the look she wore to the Vivianne Westwood show on Sept. 30 this year.

"It really hit a spot with me," Palvin shares of her plunging-black corset top accented with floral details. "I'm like, 'Hmm, I like this. Maybe I should get more corsets,'" she says. "So I'm trying to put that in my closet now."
