Bar-Themed Games and Trash Talking? Sign Us Up For Blake Shelton's New Show!
When it comes to pub games and a little bit (okay, a LOT) of trash talking, we're all in!
Earlier this year, singer Blake Shelton shocked The Voice fans by announcing that he will be departing from the singing competition show. As the longest reigning judge with more than a decade of being an integral part of the show, the "God's Country" artist admitted that he had "been wrestling" with the decision to depart after season 23 for a while, but assured fans "It would not happen without [them]."
Luckily, he's not going very far. As a matter of fact, fans can get their Blake fix with just the flip of a channel.
The singer sent shockwaves through his fanbase after announcing his brand new celebrity game show full of familiar faces, outrageous games, live music, and a splash of trash talking. Add a couple of shots of whiskey, a beer or two, and you get Barmageddon!
Co-created with former The Voice host Carson Daly and hosted by WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella, Blake is headed to his Nashville-based bar to watch your favorite celebrities compete against each other.
First up? Well, of course Blake gave the honors to his wife Gwen Stefani (DUH). In the first episode airing December 5 on USA Network, the "Hollaback Girl" icon will be taking on country queen Sheryl Crow in different pub games, including ax throwing. Other stars throughout the show's first season include Elle King and Trace Adkins.
As soon as fans got wind of the new project, people in the comments went nuts and left messages like:
