“It means so much to me to join Klutch Athletics and be the first college athlete and first basketball player on the roster,” Edwards said in a brand statement. “I love the way the brand is blending performance with style, giving me something equally effective for training or relaxing. Joining Klutch Athletics and New Balance is such a unique opportunity, I can’t wait to get started!”

Edwards is the first basketball player to be signed to Klutch Athletics since it was co-founded by Rich Paul with New Balance in April. His addition to Klutch’s roster follows the label’s debut lineup, which also includes football stars Chase Young and Will Anderson Jr.

“We’re thrilled to welcome an incredible talent like Justin to the Klutch Athletics roster,” Paul said in a brand statement. “I can’t think of a better fit to be our first college athlete and first basketball player. Not only does he have outstanding skills on the court, he’s also a young man of great character who cares about his community and embodies what it means to Be Klutch.”

The athlete’s new role also finds him starring in the new Klutch Athletics by New Balance campaign. The line, which ranges from $40 to $120, features an array of tonal gray and black athleisure — including T-shirts, shorts, hoodies and more — that is now live on the brand’s website.

Edwards joins Klutch following his various athletic accomplishments, including co-MVP of the Iverson Classic and a 2023 McDonald’s High School All-American winner while playing for Imhotep Charter in Philadelphia, Penn. Currently, he’s also predicted as the first pick in the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft, according to a brand statement from Klutch.
