This bakery-turned-cafe reopens near Farrer Park with fresh dine-in space
After announcing its departure from Sin Ming at the end of May 2024, Marymount Bakehouse has finally returned to Race Course Road on 31 Aug with a brand new look!
Living up to its name, this artisanal bakehouse was once a humble yet beloved spot in Marymount, known for its daily small-batch sourdough loaves. Its reputation grew thanks to its warm, carefully crafted bakes, all made with the distinctive touch of Marymount Bakehouse.
With their customer base steadily growing, relocating to a more spacious venue was an obvious choice. Their new spot near Farrer Park, adorned with vibrant red walls and chic wooden decor, is not only larger but also beautifully eye-catching and stylish.
Now that they’ve added few notable upgrades to their establishment, you can relax and savour their creations in the newly added, comfortable dining space! Sink your teeth in the fresh additions to their menu, featuring gems like Sourdough Quiche Lorraine The MMBH Way (S$16.90 for 1 quarter), and Pumpkin Scamorza With Japanese Kare カレー (S$20).
The quiche features a rich blend of eggs, coppa ham, and leeks, all nestled in their signature levain crust and finished with lumpfish caviar and truffle creme fraiche. Meanwhile, their Autumn Special pumpkin sourdough is perfect for a seasonal treat.
Shaped and scored like a pumpkin, it’s packed with pumpkin puree, smoked scamorza cheese, Japanese curry, and a hint of cinnamon. What an indulgent way to transition from Brat Summer into Demure Fall, am I right?
Don’t miss their classic favourites, starting with the Marymount House Loaf (S$14.50) — the cornerstone of their offerings. With its elegant wheat stalk scoring, this sourdough bread is a timeless treat.
If you’re in the mood for something sweeter, try the Apple & Rhubarb Custard Pie (S$15.90 for 4”). This pie features irresistible homemade custard with tart rhubarb puree, all encased in their signature sourdough pastry. These crowd-pleasers have earned their reputation for good reason.
Swing by for brunch and treat yourself to a delightful experience that Marymount Bakehouse has to offer — as they’re soft-launching until Oct!
