Azhan Rani disappointed in fans watching "Khunsa" illegally

2 Apr - Azhan Rani couldn't help but feel frustrated over viewers opting to watch his new hit drama "Khunsa" illegally.

The actor, who stars in the new series airing on Astro, found it irksome that some fans even told him that they watched the series via Telegram instead of subscribing to the satellite station.

"If you're watching it on Telegram, please do not tell us. It is considered piracy. It wasn't easy for us to shoot Khunsa. We have been filming it since November, and it hasn't even completed yet," he said.

Azhan said having fans watching the show for free via the said app would only hurt the cast and crew, after they have worked so hard for the drama.

"If you have some conscience and humanity in you, just think what would happen if you're in our place. Sorry, I have to say this," he added.

In "Khunsa", Azhan plays the role of Wan Jusoh, a man who couldn't accept the fact that his youngest child was born an intersex, and decided to raise her as a boy despite her more feminine tendencies.
