Awayne Liu says Lollipop are not fully ready for reunion
1 Aug - Although they've been inspired by the reunion of Energy members, Awayne Liu said that he and the other members of Lollipop are not fully ready to make their own comeback in the near future.
As reported on Epoch Times, the singer, who appeared at the launching of his restaurant, Chow Xiang Xiang, shared that he did go to Energy's concert and was moved by the performances he saw on stage that he was inspired to reunite with Lollipop.
However, both he and Prince Chiu, the latter who also attended the launch, couldn't help but laugh about their own plans.
"We started planning as early as five years ago, but the progress was only 30 to 40 percent each year," he said.
Awayne said that the six members still need some time to get used to each other and that their timings are still being coordinated. However, he admitted that his daughter was very opposed to the idea, adding, "She thinks it would deprive me of the time to accompany her. She likes watching performances, but doesn't want her father to perform on stage."
Meanwhile, Prince said that he hopes that everything can be planned out well and that they can make a comeback that will not disappoint fans.
Lollipop was formed back in early 2000s through the Channel [V] show, "BBT". However, members Liljay and Prince left the group in 2009, prompting the rest of the members, including William, Owodog and Fabien to regroup as Lollipop F.
