Awake NY and Happy Socks have once again teamed up for a collaboration.

For their second collab, the two delivered what they’re calling “a fresh but classic take” on athletic socks. Happy Socks said this collaboration with Awake NY draws “heavily upon the everyday socks in the ’70s and ’80s, offering a reimagined, modernized take on a classic Americana silhouette.”

Happy Socks explained via statement that the socks are made by 9-gauge knitting machines, using 30/2 yarn, resulting in a “thick yet luxurious sock.” The heel and toe of the socks, according to the brand, are reinforced, making for a long lasting sock, and the socks are also ribbed with arch support. Awake NY added a personal touch to the sock with its clean “A” logo embroidered near the top.

The Happy Socks x Awake NY collection is available now and retails for $28. The collaborative socks can be purchased via and at Happy Socks retail locations in New York (SoHo), Berlin and Le Marais. The socks can also be purchased via and the Awake NY flagship in NYC, located at 62 Orchard St.

Although this is Awake NY’s latest collaboration, the brand has made headlines this year for other work it has done via partnership. For instance, the highly-anticipated Awake NY x Jordan Air Ship released in March, a striking white leather look with red collars featuring a python texture. The shoe sold out at retail but it is still available on the resale market, such as StockX, with prices starting at $112.
