ATV won't look for Eric Tsang to host Miss Asia

17 Aug – ATV Executive Ho Lai Chuen recently stated that he will not necessarily ask Eric Tsang to host the upcoming Miss Asia pageant just because of rumours of a fall out between the veteran star and rival broadcaster TVB.

As reported on Minngpao, Ho, who appeared at the promotional event of the said pageant recently, said that he will not take the initiative to call Eric – although the actor is not hosting Miss Hong Kong this year, as not to put the actor between a rock and a hard place.

"Unless he is interested in hosting it, we will not force him to make a decision. He could think about it," he said.

On the other hand, when mentioned that TVB's Miss Hong Kong pageant will not be having an overseas shoot, Ho - whose pageant will be going to South Korea - said that decisions are made based on the necessities.

"TVB has its own plans," he said.

On the other hand, Ho revealed that other than winning prizes worth a seven-digit sum, the winner of Miss Asia will be signed to ATV and automatically be a part of the station's upcoming drama, "True Colours of a Hero".
