Attention, Everyone: Cardi B Just Arrived at the 2018 VMAs Looking Like a True Queen

The 2018 MTV Video Music Awards are officially L-I-T with the arrival of Cardi B, who stopped traffic with short hair and a gorgeous velvet plum dress, complete with a thigh-high slit. The appearance is her first since giving birth to her daughter Kulture.

If all you can focus on is Cardi’s nails, you can once again thank her longtime nail artist Jenny Bui, who’s responsible for this work of art. Bui is also the genius behind Cardi’s bling-tastic nails in her new music video for “Ring.”

Cardi is up for 10 awards tonight, including Song of the Year and Video of the Year for "Finesse" with Bruno Mars. For the latter, Cardi is up against Ariana Grande (“No Tears Left to Cry”), Camila Cabello ft. Young Thug (“Havana”), Childish Gambino (“This Is America”), Drake (“God’s Plan”), and The Carters (“Apeshit”).

And to think, it was just one year ago that Cardi attended her first VMAs and performed "Bodak Yellow" during a pre-show event. What a difference a year makes.
