Atilia loses thousands of followers due to an online scam
2 Sep - Atilia Haron found herself losing her thousands of followers after she was deceived into accepting an offer to appear in an international podcast.
The singer, who lost all of her social media accounts earlier, said that it all started when she received an email from the other party who invited her for an online meeting.
"We were asked to show our screen so they can show us how to do a live show. In just one minute, my cursor was hijacked and my Facebook settings were changed," she said.
Although she had since regained her accounts, Atilia said that she wasn't able to get back her Facebook fanpage that has a total of 68,000 followers.
"I am worried that irresponsible parties will try to deceive my fans by pretending to be me," she said.
At the same time, Atilia also reminded others to be careful and not to end up a victim just like her.
