Arnold Schwarzenegger took a sexist Terminator “fan” to task in a recent Reddit Q&A, reminding him that the series has a proud history of strong, female characters.

Schwarzenegger was on Reddit to promote the first trailer for Terminator: Dark Fate, in which he once again reprises his role as the robotic killing machine. Reddit being Reddit, there were a few cynics and idiots in amongst the fans that were asking Schwarzenegger questions.

Rather than ignoring one of them who had asked about Hollywood “piggybacking off of classics by using a female lead,” Arnold decided to immediately call them out, responding, “You know that Linda Hamilton is a leading woman in both Terminator 1 and 2, correct?” Of course Linda Hamilton is reprising her role as Sarah Connor in Terminator: Dark Fate, too.

The question has since been removed by the Reddit moderator, while we can only hope that the individual that asked it is still taking a long hard look at himself and is already in the process of trying to turn his life around.

Schwarzenegger has had quite the week. While in South Africa he was literally dropkicked by a buffoon. One of the Redditers decided to pass on their well wishes to Schwarzenegger following the incident, and the actor had the perfect response, “How can I feel better when I didn’t even feel bad?”

Somehow, Schwarzenegger only had kind thoughts for the assailant, as he added, “I didn’t even press charges and I hope he gets his life on track.”

We’ll finally get to see Schwarzenegger as the T-800 once again when Terminator: Dark Fate is released in the UK on October 25.
