Arnold Schwarzenegger is ready to terminate in 'Why We're Killing Gunther' photo

Arnold Schwarzenegger is the new target for termination in the first-look image from Why We’re Killing Gunther, but everyone else is on his hit list.

The Terminator star headlines the directorial debut of former Saturday Night Live cast member Taran Killam, who also produces and stars in the action-comedy. Schwarzenegger plays the titular Gunther, an accomplished but kind of annoying hitman who’s up for assassination by his fellow fed-up associates. However, Gunther always seems to be one step ahead of them.

The image, featuring Schwarzenegger coming face to face with Killam, debuted as IMR International handles international sales for the film at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

Colbie Smulders (The Avengers) plays Killam’s on-screen wife alongside Bobby Moynihan (SNL), Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick), Randall Park (Fresh Off the Boat), Paul Brittain (Hotel Transylvania 2), and Ryan Gaul (Superstore). See the first look below.

Killam, who recently played King George III in Broadway’s Hamilton, was recently seen on screen in All Nighter and Brother Nature. Schwarzenegger, meanwhile, turned heads with his dramatic turn in Aftermath.

Kim Leadford, Ash Sarohia, and Steve Squillante also produce Why We’re Killing Gunther, which is financed by StarStream Media.
