Arnold Kwok admits arrest for DUI

3 Apr – TVB actor Arnold Kwok recently admitted that he had been arrested for driving under the influence.

As reported on On CC, the "Life on the Line" actor was booked earlier on 27 March after he was found to have been driving with a blood alcohol level that is double the amount of the legal limit.

He had since posted bail and is required to report back to the police in two months.

Although Arnold originally denied the incident when contacted by the media, he finally confessed to his wrongdoing a day later, saying that he wasn't able to make further comments about the incident.

"As this case is being handled by the authorities, I can't talk about it too much. I will cooperate with the police thoroughly, and will take responsibility for my action," he said.

Asked why he denied it when asked the first time, Arnold said that his thoughts were all over the place at the time.

"My family didn't even know what happened, and I didn't want them to worry. I really made a mistake in [denying it] and causing misunderstanding," he said.

The actor added that he feels sorry for the incident and promise to be more careful and responsible next time.
