Arjo Atayde is excited for first romance film, "Stranded"
4 Apr – Arjo Atayde recently admitted that he is excited about his first romance film, "Stranded" - co-starring Jessy Mendiola.
As reported on Push, the actor, who reunites with Mendiola following their previous film "'Tol", shared that he is grateful to be able to star in a different kind of genre.
"This is a new step for me to show people if I can make them fall in love this time," he said.
Atayde stated that he has always wanted to do rom-coms and romance movies, but hasn't had the chance until Regal Films offered him the movie.
"I've really been waiting for this. If ever I came out in a romantic film, I would love to have a story that has not been told in Philippine cinema. Finally here it is," he enthused.
The actor also admitted that he enjoyed working with Mendiola again as they are already friends.
"It was really easy working with her, as well as director Ice [Adanan]," he added.
On Instagram, he wrote that the film is "a different and untold on love - a story of two people with varying beliefs."
"Stranded" stars Atayde and Mendiola as two co-workers who find themselves trapped in the office due to a strong typhoon.
