While Arby’s is, of course, known for having “the meats,” those roast beef sandwiches aren’t the only things customers rave about. The fast food chain’s curly fries have a cult-like following (chefs included), and the iconic Horsey and Arby’s sauces are so beloved the brand bottles them and sells them in stores.

As with so many fast-food restaurants, though, some of those fan-favorite items don’t always stick around. Yes, we are talking about you, Mickey D’s Snack Wrap. But, if we’re lucky, a little begging can go a long way.

It only took three years and more than 10,000 requests, but Arby’s is answering fans’ pleas for a beloved side to return. In honor of Arby’s 60th birthday, it’s bringing back the Potato Cakes, which were discontinued in 2021.

Arby’s Beloved Potato Cakes Are Returning to the Menu

Even with the loaded fries, crinkle-cut fries, and ever-loved curly fries, we can never get enough potatoes. Hence why the fried Potato Cakes were a classic Arby’s staple for years before they were removed to accommodate the then-new crinkle fries.

After years of petitions and social media posts, Arby’s has seen the error of its ways and is now bringing the hash brown-like offering back for a limited time.

Arby's

Beginning July 1, customers can order a three-count of Potato Cakes at participating Arby’s restaurants nationwide for $2.39.

Because Arby’s knows its fans have a deep love for the Potato Cakes, their return will also feature an exclusive merch drop. Starting July 1, you can find Potato Cake shirts, hoodies, pins, necklaces, and even candles on ShopArbys.com.

Unfortunately, the Potato Cakes aren’t here to stay, but for now, we’ll take what we can get!
