"Aquaman" is among the movies to get the 4D with ScreenX treatment

27 Apr – CJ 4DPLEX has collaborated with Warner Bros. to give five of the latter's movies the 4D cinema experience, accompanied with ScreenX, which will allow the movies to be screened in a 270-degree panoramic viewing format.

The South Korean 4D motion picture technology company announced in a press release that "The Nun", "Aquaman", and "Shazam!", along with two other movies that have yet to be announced, will receive the groundbreaking cinema experience.

"We look to expand the reach of this new technology that we feel will change the moviegoing experience for the better in the years to come," said CJ 4DPLEX CEO, Byung-Hwan Choi.

ScreenX, the world's first three-screen configuration that gives a panaroma-like view, will give a unique viewing experience for the audiences of the five movies.

The partnership continues following the success of "Rampage", which was the latest movie to use the 4D with ScreenX technology.

The first movie on the list, "The Nun", will be released this September and stars Taissa Farmiga, Bonnie Aarons, Demián Bichir, and Charlotte Hope.

"Aquaman" stars Jason Momoa as the titular character, as well as Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, and Willem Dafoe, and will be released this December.

"Shazam!" will star Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, and Ron Cephas Jones, and is slated for an April 2019 release date.
