Donald Trump's Shoe Style From the '70s to 2020s
FN looks back at how Donald Trump‘s shoe style has changed since the 70s. He loves to pair a dark-colored leather dress shoe with a slightly elevated square heel and a rounded toe to pair with his suits almost every day. However, when he’s out of his typical dressed-up attire, he’s been known to wear a sneaker with a pair of jeans for a rare, casual outing or even a white loafer to enjoy a warm summer day.
Trump has ventured into the footwear industry with his own sneaker, including a gold metallic high-top style he showcased at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia in 2024. This shoe features a design referencing the American flag and a letter “T” on the side in reference to himself. Another Trump sneaker was created after the assassination attempt against him that took place while he was speaking at a July 2024 rally in Pennsylvania; this limited-edition “Fight Fight Fight” shoe features an image of Trump raising his fist after he was shot in addition to an American flag and the words “Fight, fight, fight” which he uttered in that moment.

Trump served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017-2021 and will serve as the 47th president following a presidential race that saw Vice President Kamala Harris replace President Joe Biden as the nominee of the Democratic party. Now that Trump is scheduled to return to the White House, there is much talk about how his proposed tariffs will affect the fashion industry and consumers.
