Apparently, Those Camila Cabello and Rauw Alejandro Dating Rumors Just Aren't True 👀
Dear readers, there's been an ~interesting~ development in the wake of Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro's breakup.
Per People, the Spanish talk show El Gordo y La Flaca reported that Rauw Alejandro and Camila Cabello might be dating after they were spotted at the Inter Miami CF and Atlanta United soccer match in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on July 25.
Reports of Rauw and Rosalía's breakup coincidentally surfaced on the same day as the match (☕️☕️☕️), but an anonymous source confirmed to People that the "Don't Go Yet" singer and Rauw are not an item. The source also noted the rumors are "100 percent not true."
"They just happened to be at two of the same events. They barely even spent time together at either event," the insider revealed, referencing the soccer match and Univision's Premios Juventud show in Puerto Rico that took place on July 20.
Rauw and Rosalía were romantically linked—and ultimately, engaged—for nearly three years until they called it quits in July 2023. Rauw confirmed the news with a written statement he posted to his Instagram Stories on July 26.
"Yes, a few months ago Rosi and I ended our engagement," he wrote in Spanish, addressing the "erroneous" cheating rumors that surfaced following their split. "There are thousands of problems that could cause a breakup, but in our case, it was not due to third parties or infidelity," he continued.
"Out of the respect I have for her, our families, and all that we lived through, I could not stay silent and continue to watch how [rumors] try to destroy the story of the most real love that God has permitted me to live," Rauw wrote. "I never saw myself in a position of even thinking that I would have to give public statements on this matter that is so private to me."
The next day, the Motomami singer broke her silence on her breakup with Rauw and echoed his sentiments on her own Instagram Stories: "I love, respect, and admire Raúl very much," she wrote, referring to his real name. "Not paying attention to the theatrics, we know what we have experienced. This moment is not easy so thanks to everyone for understanding and respecting."
