Anuar Zain wants song with dramatic elements

24 Jul – Anuar Zain recently admitted that he had planned, multiple times in recent years, to release a new song, but that nothing came to fruition.

The balladeer, most known for songs like "Keabadian Cinta" and "Lelaki Ini", recently revealed that he has yet to find the right material for his music comeback, seven years after his last album, though he still has plans to release new music.

"A lot of the new songs I received did not meet the criteria. Most songs now are just songs. I want a song with dramatic elements and storytelling in terms of the melody and the lyrics," he said.

"This doesn't mean I am nitpicky, just that I am very thorough."

Meanwhile, fans of the singer would not have to wait long to watch Anuar in action again, as his upcoming concert, "Anuar Zain 40th Anniversary Concert" will be held in Shah Alam on 28 October.

"The main objective is to entertain fans. This concert will be straightforward, though. I do not have any gimmick or shocking elements to be presented," he added.
