9 Sep – Annie Yi is still happy with how things turned out, even if she did not make it as one of the seven members of the girl group produced by the reality show, "Sisters Who Make Waves".
As reported on CTWant, the Taiwanese singer who made it to the final 14 before she was eliminated in the last episode among seven others, posted a photo of herself on Weibo with her trophy following the end of the show.
She wrote, "Knowing that there was no chance, people still voted [for me] desperately. Why are you so good to me, love this imperfect me? But at least we also have this award! Love you guys!"
It is noted that Annie sparked several controversies while on the show for the past four months - with the biggest issue being her statement about how Anita Mui's life had been tragic as she was unable to find love up to the end of her life.
The show recently named Ning Jing, Wan Qian, Meng Jia, Lisi Danni, Kitty Zhang, Yisa Yu, and Isabelle Huang as the official members of their first ever mature girl group.
