Annie Man admits her comeback drama offer came at the right time
15 Apr – Making her acting comeback in the new ViuTV drama, "Warriors Within", Annie Man admitted that the passion for acting has always been inside of her despite her long hiatus from the industry.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress who sat down for an interview recently, admitted that she found she could trust producer and co-star Stephen Au when he approached her with an offer, despite saying no to other projects for the past few years.
"I considered the offer for two days. My husband said that as long as I can take care of our daughter, it would be okay. I also asked not to go to an overseas location since I didn't want to be too far away from my daughter," she said.
Annie admitted that prior to Stephen, she actually received a lot of offers from other studios in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and mainland China.
"But I didn't think I was ready at the time. I wasn't worried about my acting skills, but I had a lot of concerns, especially since the word "comeback" means that a lot of people will be paying special attention to me, so I have to be in the best condition," she said.
On the other hand, when mentioned that she seemed to maintain her natural good looks and physique despite being away from the limelight for a while, Annie smiled and said that she had never actually done any procedures on herself.
"I only use facial masks. The most important thing is your eating habit. I don't eat a lot of meals and I don't do snacks and dessert. For this drama in particular, I abstained from eating at night and quit eating salty food," she said.
