Actress Annette Bening

Annette Bening is confirmed to be joining the cast of "Life, Itself," reports Deadline.

To be written and directed by Dan Fogelman, creator of NBC show "This Is Us," the movie is described as multi-generational love story that weaves together various characters whose lives intersect over the course of decades between the streets of New York to the Spanish countryside.

Bening is joining Oscar Isaac, Olivia Wilde, Antonio Banderas, Olivia Cooke, Laia Costa, Mandy Patinkin, Sergio Peris-Mencheta and Alex Monner for the project.

Fogelman made his feature directing debut on "Danny Collins," released last year and also starring Bening, alongside Al Pacino, Christopher Plummer, Bobby Cannavale, Jennifer Garner and Josh Peck.
