Anne Curtis to star in Jun Lana's "The Nurse"

23 Oct – Anne Curtis is set to star in the upcoming collaboration between Viva Films and The IdeaFirst Company, "The Nurse".

As reported on PEP, the news was confirmed by The IdeaFirst Company producer Perci Intalan, who stated that the upcoming project will begin its principal photography early next year.

"Actually [director] Jun Lana has been wanting to work with Anne again since we last worked with her on [2016's] "Bakit Lahat ng Guwapo May Boyfriend", which was before "Die Beautiful". When we saw each other again, we said let's pitch a project so that we can collaborate. She immediately liked the script for "The Nurse" and we plan to shoot abroad," he said.

Lana previously cast Nadine Lustre in the said project, but later revealed through a response to a fan that he has decided to change his mind due to a scheduling conflict.

"Been waiting too long and it's taken too much of my time. Going to Japan [twice] to prep is no joke. Time to move and let go and recast. Thanks for the interest, guys," he tweeted.

On the other hand, Curtis will be working alongside Lorna Tolentino, whose last film was the 2015 MMFF entry, "Walang Forever". Curtis' last released film was the erotic romantic drama, "Just a Stranger". She will also be a part of this year's Metro Manila Film Festival through the new Vice Ganda movie, "The Mall, The Merrier".
