Anna Jobling stars in "Duyung" sequel

4 Sep - Anna Jobling has been cast to play the lead in the sequel to KRU Studios' 2008 movie, "Duyung".

The news was confirmed by Executive Producer Datuk Norman Abdul Halim, saying that Anna ticks all the right boxes when it comes to what they are looking for.

"We needed an actress who can really swim because it is not easy to wear the mermaid costume. Anna is able to do so," he said, adding that Anna has represented Selangor in a swimming competition before.

Anna will be joined by previous lead actors Maya Karin and Saiful Apek, as well as Yasmin Hani, Datuk Yusry Abdul Halim, Nadia Brian, Zero, Aniq Aqil, Aidilia Hilda, A Shukoor Mohaideen, Yassin Senario and many more.

The project, titled "Duyung: Legend Aurora" will be helmed by Prof Datuk Dr A Razak Mohaideen, and will be shot in 22 locations around Langkawi and Payar Island, aside from Putrajaya and the Klang Valley.

It is scheduled for release in 2025.
