Anita Yuen likes working with Peter Chan

26 Sep – Hong Kong actress Anita Yuen recently named Peter Chan as the filmmaker whom she enjoys working with.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress appeared on the ViuTV talk show, "Big Star", and admitted that she is the kind of person who likes to self-examine, thus would always have her own thoughts about the roles and projects she is doing.

However, Anita admitted that not all directors like it when an actor gives their two cents.

In her many years in the film industry, Anita admitted that she is most comfortable working with director Peter Chan, who helmed her movies like "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Father", "He's a Woman, She's a Man", and "Tom, Dick and Hairy".

"He has no problem spending time talking with me and trying to understand my views," she said, adding that Peter would then explain to her that she is too subjective in her thoughts.

On the other hand, Anita also addressed the issues filmmakers had with her in the past when she was seen as problematic - which she previously attributed to her being new in the business and clueless of how things work.

"Once, I saw a director whom I was familiar with at a party. He actually gave an excuse to avoid me." she said.
