Angelica Panganiban firm on retiring from TV dramas

14 Apr – Angelica Panganiban recently stated that she is not changing her mind about making "Walang Hanggang Paalam" her last television series.

As reported on ABS-CBN, the actress, who spoke to the media at the final press conference of the said drama, shared that her previous decision was not made overnight, but a deliberation of many years.

"I was already at that stage when Zanjoe [Marudo] and I were making "Playhouse". I thought that if it was going to be my last TV project, I would be happy. I wanted to leave like that," she said, adding that she has been working on television for half of her life.

However, Panganiban's plan was disrupted following the pandemic and the denial of ABS-CBN's TV franchise, with the actress saying that she felt it would be insensitive to say no to a project.

"Who am I to refuse a job when there are so many people asking for work, right?" she said.

Nonetheless, Panganiban assured that she might be making her return in the future if there is a project she deems worthy for such a comeback.

"Maybe 20 years from now, I might be offered a role that I can't resist. I think I can swallow my pride and my stand. I'm sure I won't lose anything," she added.

As for her future works, the actress said that she will be focusing on movies, though unsure as to whether they will be able to go into production at this time.
