Angelababy wins lawsuit against entertainment blogger

1 Mar – Angelababy has recently won a lawsuit first filed in 2021 against an entertainment blogger who accused her of marrying Hong Kong actor Louis Koo.

After a two-year trial, the court ordered the defendant, "Hong Kong Zhu Pi" to pay a total of RMB 10,000 in compensation and to make a public apology.

The said blogger, who claimed to be a former senior entertainment reporter in Hong Kong, released the so-called big news back in January 2021, saying that the actress married actor-producer Louis Koo following her divorce from Huang Xiaoming, and that the two have also gone on their honeymoon.

It is noted that Angelababy was still married to Huang at the time.

The actress immediately issued a statement to refute the rumour, and instructed her lawyer to collect evidence in order to file a lawsuit.

The actress eventually ended her six-year marriage to Huang in 2022, though the couple remained silent on the reason for the divorce.
